Port of Durban / Bayhead / Tier 2 precinct

Port logistics, built inside the precinct.

Civteq Port Logistics operates two purpose-built facilities in the Port of Durban: an operational cargo and container hub at Kobe Road, and a secure tanker-staging facility at Iran Road. Privately funded, TNPA-leased, and run entirely by our own teams.

About CPL

One operator, two purpose-built sites.

Civteq Port Logistics is the port-logistics arm of the Civteq group. We hold both of our sites under Transnet National Ports Authority lease, inside the Durban port precinct, and have invested private capital to turn neglected port land into serviced, paved, compliant and operational infrastructure.

Across both facilities, CPL retains full operational control. Security, access control, maintenance, cleaning and compliance are all delivered by our own teams, so clients deal with one accountable operator, not a patchwork of subcontractors.

  • Inside the port precinctBoth sites sit within the Port of Durban, close to the terminals, insulated from outside-precinct congestion.
  • Privately funded & engineeredLand cleared, paved, serviced and made compliant entirely at CPL's own cost.
  • Compliant by designTNPA lease terms, municipal permitting, fire and HSSE requirements built in from the start.

The facilities

Two sites, each engineered for its job.

One handles cargo and containers. The other stages petrochemical tankers under tight security. Together they give clients a single logistics partner inside the port.

The barge advantage

A water route that bypasses the road entirely.

CPL is the only Tier 2 property in Bayhead with direct access to the water, positioned to run a 200 TEU barge service from site to DCT / New Pier. With the 3-year Bayhead Road expansion expected from March 2027, this water route shifts from a cost saving to a business-continuity measure, keeping clients moving while road-bound operators outside the precinct face disruption.
